Episode 1 features Kevin Lawton of The New Warehouse Podcast in a candid conversation about what consistently breaks when 3PLs grow
Leanafy, a warehouse management system built specifically for 3PL operators, announced the launch of Execution at Scale, a five-part live webinar series hosted by company founder Vikrant Neb. The series is designed to bring honest, unscripted conversations about real operational challenges to the 3PL community, the kind of conversations that typically happen in hallways and over coffee at industry conferences, but rarely make it to a public stage.

Episode 1 aired on March 20, 2026, featuring Kevin Lawton, founder of The New Warehouse Podcast and supply chain professor, as the inaugural guest. The conversation covered some of the most common inflection points where 3PL operations begin to break during growth, from the absence of documented processes and maintaining quality at scale, to the hidden dangers of multi-site expansion and the critical importance of understanding true cost per client.
“I started this series for the same reason Kevin started his podcast,” said Vikrant Neb. “There is a real limitation of content around real life scenarios in this industry. Most conversations at trade events are scripted or surface level. I wanted to change that.”
Neb, who has spent over a decade working inside 3PL and warehouse operations as an industrial engineer and consultant, founded Leanafy after experiencing firsthand the gap between the tools operators needed and what the market offered. He is also the author of Execution Under Pressure: The Hidden Reasons Why 3PLs Stop Growing and How to Fix Them.

During Episode 1, Lawton offered a perspective that resonated strongly with the audience: that data is the foundation of sustainable growth, and that 3PLs who cannot measure their true cost per client are scaling blind. He also noted that some of the earliest warning signs of an operation approaching its breaking point are visible on the floor long before leadership sees them in the numbers.
“If your team members are not speaking up, you are about to fall off,” Neb added during the conversation. “When everyone in your morning meeting says everything is good, that is when you should be most concerned.”
Upcoming episodes in the series include a deep dive into 3PL pricing structures and the margin traps that go unnoticed until it is too late, a conversation about building an operation that outlasts its founder, and a look at what actually breaks when a 3PL scales from a regional player to a national platform. Confirmed upcoming guests include:
- Bob Byrnes (March 25) – 15-plus years in 3PL pricing across Kenco, Ryder, and Stord, making him one of the most experienced voices on margin and cost structure.
- Michael DeFabis (April 8) – Spent 15 years growing IDS Fulfillment from a $20M regional 3PL to a $100M national platform before its acquisition by DHL.
- Cameron Peel (April 15) – President and CCO of Camrett Logistics, who has grown the company to multiple facilities across Virginia over nearly three decades.
Each episode features a guest who has lived these challenges from the inside, not observed them from the outside. New episode registration links will be shared as they become available.
The series is open to all 3PL operators and industry professionals at no cost.
